Who knew that when Father Jacques Marquette and Louis Joliet first set foot on this land in 1673 that it would later become Missouri, our home.  Missouri is rich with natural history and wildlife recreation.  Activities run the gamut from hunting , fishing and boating to camping, hiking, rock climbing and our natural caves and springs.

Local to the Springfield area we have Roaring River State Park, Table Rock State Park, Bennett Spring State Park and Prairie State Park just to name a few.   You can also visit the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for additional information and places to see.

Hunting and fishing are extremely popular activities in the area and we wanted to provide you with an easy link to the Missouri Department of Conservation.  This site is rich with information about our local wildlife, the rules of hunting, fishing and trapping.   Check out what season we are in,  what permits or licenses you need to harvest animals legally and any other information you may need.
